New EU Copyright Directive
As a company working in open source software development for business and non-profit organizations, we tell the Therp programmers to look into the code of other developers. To add good software you have to know what other existing modules do, and how they do it. More importantly, you learn from weaknesses and good ideas in the existing software which invites you to use your creativity and do it even better. As we look at the software of others, others look at ours.
Fearless Truthseeker Missing: Arjen Kamphuis
On the ICT floor of "Broedplaats Volkskrant", Amsterdam, Gendo and the Free Knowledge Institute (FKI) shared the kitchen. That's where I met Arjen end 2007 and had animated talks about Open Source software. Arjan was Chief Technology Officer of Gendo, I volunteered for the FKI and worked as manager ICT at Friends of the Earth Netherlands.

Odoo Nairobi course
After I, Martien, had expressed my interest in Odoo at THerp, things went very quickly. Would I like to take a course in Nairobi, Kenya? My answer was of course: yes. After an eight hour flight we were picked up from the airport and dropped off at the hotel. The next day the course would start, so I did some unpacking and went to bed.

OCA Code Sprint Barcelona
Work in Progress
Odoo Development Cookbook
Probably you know already Odoo is a full-featured open source ERP with a focus on extensibility. It is built on a powerful framework for rapid application development, both for business applications and front-end websites. Odoo is mostly easy to use for end-users, but for system-administrators and developers, the tasks are not always so easy.
